This sketch is the design completed for the non-preserved altar fresco in the Vienna Augustinian church, the Maulbertsch in 1786th The high altar was designed by Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg, who was responsible for the re-gothicised Church and also included two created by Franz Anton Zauner angel.
